One of my goals this year was to become more organized within both my personal and professional life. Here is a site (with an awesome mobile app!) that has really helped me with my goal of staying organized!
Evernote- "Remember Everything" is Evernote's motto and it's true! Evernote allows you to capture virtually any type of information (Text Notes, Photos, Audio, etc.) then allows you to tag this information and sort it into different notebooks/folders.Evernote makes it really easy to search for your stored information by these tags and even makes handwritten and printed text inside your images searchable as well. Think about how useful this is-- Take pictures of all the business cards you get then simply search for the persons name or company when you need it and Evernote will recognize the image!
What really makes Evernote great is the automatic synchronization between the web and all your other devices. For instance, I have Evernote on my PC, my iPhone, and my iPad. So no matter where I am I always have access to my information--instantly!
How do I use Evernote?
- Take a photo of receipts from my phone, email to evernote email address they give to me and it is sent straight to my expense notebook. So easy!
- I have an inspiration notebook that I keep ads that inspire me, pictures of sunsets, inspirational quotes, websites I like, etc.
- Ever make a shopping list, get to the store and realize you have left it at home? I create my shopping lists on Evernote and then I have it on my phone when I go to the store, no matter what device I originally typed it on!
And it's free! Of course they have a premium option for $5.00 a month but I have the free version and find it offers plenty of storage.
