20 Comments on NASA Marshall Space Flight Center Annual Moon Buggy Races, Huntsville Alabama
Funny, as I was thinking of the original moon buggies the other day. Too bad that NASA decided not to revisit the moon...
Now that looks like a heck of a time. Thanks for adding the pictures.
Nick ~ that looks like it was fun to watch. Teams from all over the world, huh? The pictures were great.
Aww, how sweet are you to post a Team Canada photo for us Canucks!!! Looks like a fun time.
Nick,
That event is definitely something my husband and I would enjoy attending. Sure wish it was closer. Thanks for the great pictures.
Hi Nick, what a cool event! Love the photos! I am sure everyone had a good time!
I don't know Nick. You just seem to find all the cool stuff.
For fun in Huntsville call Nick folks. BUT you should buy a house from him first.
What a neat event! That banner would be great in your garage! LOL
Nick....what a fun event; did not know that this would be an international event. The 'buggies' are really cool to look at & I can imagine the family-type fun being had by those who attended. Have a great week ahead.
Barb
Nick some of them buggies look pretty elaborate. Did you get to go see them race?
Michael-I think it's only a matter of time before we go again. I would really hate to see other countries lead the way.
Jason-it was pretty cool to see teams from around the world compete...there is always something going on at the space center.
Dawn-thanks...Huntsville really is an international hub mostly because of NASA.
Jenny-I saw that flag and immediately thought of you and Al & Peggy, Kathy C. & Ted over in BC.
Suzanne-I bet you would enjoy it...my brother was just in town with his family...they missed the races, but spent all day at the Space and Rocket Center.
Jackie-a good time was had by all.
Steve-wait till I get the hang of video like you and there will be no stopping me...and I like the way you think...always willing to talk to people especially about this area...buying or listing homes are always welcome. Because of the diversity of people living in Huntsville and Madison...I get to meet some very interesting people...astronauts...people work regularly flew on Air force One and rubbed elbows with leaders that we hear about every day in the news...our Military contingency are very special...this is a very special place.
Debbie-now that you mention it, I agree...I'll keep that in mind for next year...can I call you if I need bail money??? Oh never mind...you never answer your phone anyway!!!
Barb & Sal-it was a great family event...if you got tired with the races you could always visit the space museum.
George-there was live streaming video of it so I could watch much from my laptop...I wanted to be there for most of it, but as you know we have to work...had clients to attend to, but I did make it there at the end of the day on Saturday.
Nick, where's your moon buggy? I know you like two wheels and wind in your face...so why not four with dirt in your face too? LOL
Hi Nick! This had to be so much fun! Those are some pretty sharp looking moonbuggies too......great photos!
Hi Nick, great pictures of a fun looking event. Who says nothing goes on in Alabama sides football:)
Nick I wish I could have seen the Race that must have been fun and memorable....:))))
Nick, that looks like a really fun event. Did you have a good time? Too bad we never went back to the moon to learn more about it.
HAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHHA (I was laughing at the bail money part) Who has money these days?????
I’ve been to Huntsville, and I’ve been to the Space Flight Center, but I’ve never been to the Moon Buggy Races. LLLL
That sounds like fun. And, could you imagine really going to the moon and trying these out. How cool would that be? (I think I could have fun there...but I think I'd hate the trip there as I'd probably get sick...but I could just zap myself there, that would be really cool.)
Sorry to all-I seem to have neglected answering the last few visitors...am I bad!!! Apparently scientists have actually "Zapped" as you say matter from one point to another...on the atomic level...I think we humans have a way to go yet before we can actually expects "positive" results when we say "Beam me up Scottie"!
