Richard....we have full control of the direction in which we choose to take....we control our own destiny.....
The future started yesterday, time's a wasting! Let's move forward.
Everything may not happen for a reason but lessons can be learned from most things that happen. A smart man learns from failures and successes!
Onward to creating our future!
Sonya...
And we HAVE learned a lot from the past! THX
Lenn...
I couldn't have said it better myself. Lol and thanks.
Don...
And accept the responsibility for it! Thanks.
Barbara...
Absolutely. Thanks so much.
Mona...
Time is wasting! Thanks.
Gary...
Yes, if use use the past as a learning tool we can benefit from it ... we just can't change it! Thanks so much.
Jeanne...
Indeed! THX
Nope we can't change the past....and the future is constantly changing so we need to look forward and plow through it and keep focused! Is it easy? nope...but we can all do it if we have the right mindset!
Learn from the past, mash the petal to the floor and go off to make NEW mistakes :)
Richard....our time on Friday was far, far, far to brief. Once some dust settles, I headed south...put the coffee pot on at BHGRE!!!
You are so right with this post in every way possible. We can't dwell on the past. We MUST learn from the past so we don't repeat mistakes made, but we must move on!
I think I'll print this post out and frame it! It's awesome, just like you!
I love the part where you say everything does NOT happen for a reason....great take on things....thanks!
Good morning Richard...so many times people want to blame someone else for the way things have turned out. We've got to get over that, make a plan and work our plan. BTW...love the picture, it looks like it could be a section of the AT, which is where I'm headed in 12 days!
There is no sense in living in the past, time is what keeps everything from happening at once...learn and move on.
Living in the past and regretting things is so useless. I love looking forward. It's the only thing I have control over.
We make our own fate and destiny. Wait and see is for the other guy in my book.
Richard, I think looking back is helpful for learning the lessons, but dwelling there wastes a lot of energy when we should move forward.
Hi Richard: I am missing your fun hat from April 1st... It is always wise to look to the future.. but it is hard to sometimes not discuss the past.... like baseball games, the plays made......not that people do that of course... Ha! Gay
Hi Richard, When we look back..it is SO easy to say we wouldn't or shouldn't have done that. Hindsight is always something you have the benefit of after thinking things through and after the moment. I bet most of us would just do many of the same things if we had to choose again in that moment of our lives. Moaning and groaning about the negatives of things that may have happened in the past serve absolutely no purpose but to drive others crazy. Moving forward and to the future is the only way to go. "Everything does NOT happen for a reason"..love that!
LOL...one of my favorite sayings is "things do NOT always happen for a reason" - so this totally resonated with me and made me LOL. I am also very tired of "well, if it was meant to be..." LOL
Richard... I totally love the fact the you say that we have control over our destiny. I respectfully disagree that, EVERTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON. I completely agree with, The "let's wait and see" attitude doesn't get the job done. also. Love your thought provoking blog :) Thank you.
