Fed's Low Interest Rates Crack Retirees' Nest Eggs . WSJ article

The article doesn't seem to acknowledge that there are better places to put money other than under the virtual mattresses, CD's and bank savings accounts.  Those are not vehicles known for anything but what they are.  They are not used for their yield, they are money silos, and they still function as intended.
