Mindless Monday...Out With the Old

Mindless Monday...Out With the Old in With the New

Out with the St. Patrick's Day decorations and in with the Easter decorations.

If I had really thought this through, the time it takes to take down decorations and the time it takes to put decorations on I might have had second thoughts about keeping my seasonal tree up this year.  I mean it's fun, it's cute, it's a conversation piece,  but it is time consuming!

I'm thinking that end of April I'll decorate a patriotic tree. That will get me through Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day.  Then after that I think it will have to be a UT football tree.  That should hold me over until it becomes a Christmas tree again.

When I'm not decorating trees I am listing and selling properties in Roane County Tennessee.  If you need a REALTOR®, give me a call!

Kim.. The physical therapist I see does the same thing with their trees.. decorates it for every holiday occasion.  I find it to be an oxy moron... As you stated it is a *seasonal* tree (Christmas).  Can you image the dust these trees will have by then?

You are a nut!  Does the Easter bunny bring presents?

Kim- haha, you are a nut!  Did you start doing this thinking that it would save you the time and heartache of having to put up and take down every Christmas?  lol- too funny! ;-)

Valerie...something else to think about, I hadn't even thought about the dust!

Cindy...YES, the Easter Bunny does bring presents but they're small enough to fit in an Easter basket.

Jennifer...Yes, thought it would be much easier to just leave the tree up and change out the decorations. WRONG!

Kim,

I bet it is a great conversation starter!  I have  a client that does this and she does "seasons" so it is a seasonal tree.. Spring gets pastels, silk flowers, and rainy looking icicles..An Easter basket under the tree for each (very small with choc candies etc)   Summer is beach balls and flip flops with a sun on top, little sacks with hard candy suckers and sour candyin straws, Winter is snow balls and minature sleds, skiis, and Stars with the Christmas gifts under the tree.

Seasonal.. truly seasonal

Love it!

HI KIM!  Oh I can't wait to see more of the tree photos!  This is the first year we are not having our traditional ester egg hunt party for my daughter ... and I have been looking for something to replace it with!  I think I just found it through you!  Thank you!

Judi...thanks for the ideas.  I love the summer and winter themes and hadn't even thought of that.

Connie...I'll keep you posted, more pictures to come with each new theme.

Gabrielle...I think you and your Daughter may enjoy a seasonal tree!
