What do you do to stay motivated?  I have a few activities that I do to hopefully.....keepme focused and motivated.  Primarily the things I do are as follows:

1)  Read the Bible - Need this daily.  I love the quote...you are what you eat.  If you eat crap, you become crap.  When I'm away from the word...bad things happen.  When I force feed myself....I am pumped up and focused and keep my mind on the things that are important to me.  This keeps me focused, on task and fresh.

2)  Working out - I work out almost daily....at least 5 times a week.  I really feel that if I'm not working out, then my body is atrophying or just getting blase at best.  Even a short work out refreshes me better than a huge triathalete workout.....

3)  Life Plan - I have a plan.  A real plan....I have a vision as to what my life needs to look like.  Ultimately, God is in control and no...I can't control the events that happen over the course of the day.  I can, however, point my ship in the direction that it needs to go and let God do the rest.

4)  Have a spouse that's on board - My wife and I do a "family plan" and readdress it every year.  We do our 1 year, 3, 5 and 10 year goals.....good stuff.

5)  Schedule extreme vacations.  This means trips to the Arctic Circle, rock climbing in Colorado, boating & fishing with my boys, guys' weekends at the farm....etc....just good refreshing getaway time.

What do you do?????   Go hard or go home...

Waking up everyday motivates me... Getting a good night's rest does, too.

I really find working out or exercising makes my outlook on everything better.  I've really been running alot lately and have also noticed several people comment on my optimism.

Working out helpsme alot also, lately i,ve had to compromise because i need an operation on my knee but I still lift at least 3x a week. But staying in the word is most important it really helps you stay focused on whats important and allows you to relax.

"Just do it!!""  It's the most common motivational phrase that gets spouted to us ever day.  Nike has made it a slogan, and to most it is, but if you've ever been in the trenches looking for motivation that phrase "just do it" resonates so loudly and says so much more than you ever thought it could say.  Good post!

Rob....good words....Nike hit the nose.

Sounds like you have a great plan to stay motivated.  I can agree with all except the extreme vacations.  Vacations are for relaxing on a beach or drinking wine in Italy.  :o )

Gross Ginger...sitting around in Italy on a beach.....drinking wine.... Spoken like a true succesful woman.  Seriously, my wife has that as one of her fantasies.  She wants to do the Italy thing.  I haven't had the same desire, but I know that it'd be fun.  I fought her weakly on Hawaii....but once I went....it was a blast.  There was a lot to do.  Keep the dialogue coming.....I enjoy it.
