Riverside is a great place to live!

So I would like to share My Top Five Favorite Things About Riverside, CA:Orange with green leaves

  • Andulka Park - Part of the Riverside Renaissance project, this is a 36 acre park consisting of hiking/walking trails, native habitat, tennis courts and baseball diamonds. It epitomizes a Southern Californian's love of the outdoors. According to the Parks, Recreation and Community Service Department, Riverside has 51 parks, 14 community centers and 7 pools.

  • Barnes & Noble Bookstore at Tyler Galleria - I am an avid reader and remember with great joy the day this bookstore opened. The hearty aroma of coffee drifts from the Starbucks Cafe, located within the store. Aspiring writers, children and readers can participate in the various workshops held throughout the month. Community involvement is apparent through the many special programs such as the Educator Appreciation Reception which shall be hosted this month.

  • Gless Ranch - Is a family owned orchard and orange grove which has existed in Riverside since 1907. The humble storefront houses bins of ripened fruit, freshly picked oranges and grapefruits, along with assorted nuts. However I love to pick up bundles of fruit wood to burn during the winter months.

  • Mission Inn - One of my favorite past times is Happy Hour at the outside dining area. Imagine sipping a decadent martini gazing up at the historical architecture of the Mission Inn, surrounded by vibrant tropical plantings. (enough said!)

  • Glen Ivy Hot Springs - All right this is not in the city of Riverside but it just a brief trip down the the 15 freeway, a twenty minute drive to paradise. Hot springs, mud baths, champagne pools and much, much more. The beauty of its setting is unbelievable.

Of course I could share a much larger list, Farmers Market, Arts Walk in Riverside, Fox Theater, Nordstrom shoe department and the list goes on and on. Located sixty miles east of Los Angeles, Riverside offers the space of a rural town, the cultural activities of a large city and its own unique history.
