Spring has been a long time arriving this year, in my opinion.  It seems to me that we are almost ready to pay taxes and only a few trees are in bloom.   Aside from yellow daffodils and forsythias, there really hasn't been much color.  Yesterday, though, I came across this lovely flower in my front garden bed!

HyacinthThere aren't many of them, but they are a welcome sight!

Today, while driving through Hersheys Mill doing my meal deliveries for Meals on Wheels, I came across this beauty.

Hersheys Mill is a lovely over 55 Community that is breathtakingly landscaped in all seasons.  Spring happens to be my favorite time of year to drive through this great neighborhood.  With a wide variety of home types and price ranges, beautiful landscaping, walking paths, golf club views and lakes, it's simply a beautiful spot.

I'll keep my camera handy and share some of the beauty of Chester County as it develops this spring!

Today, I am thankful for the signs of spring in the landscape, my family, my pets, my friends and life in general.

My cherry tree is far from blossoming....the snow just left it on Tuesday.  I can smell those hyacinths.  I hardly ever leave them in the garden to finish.  I bring them in and DRINK in the fragrance.  Thanks for the great photos to get me through!

Suzanne, I just switched the title to add Thankful Thursday when I realized it's been more than a few weeks since I've written a Thankful Thursday post.  I have never brought the hyacinths in as my husband does not like the smell of certain flowers and that one flower is very potent.  I just smelled them today and they don't seem to have too much of a fragrance, so maybe I'll chance it and bring just one in and see how he does.   I hope all is wonderful in your world!
