Phoenix was one of the most searched real estate markets on Realtor.com last year.

9 of the 10 most searched markets on REALTOR.com last year were sun-drenched cities, and Phoenix one of them, suggesting the Sun Belt will continue to have many of the hottest real estate markets in the country.

"Changing conditions throughout 2010 in the sunshine states resulting from foreclosures, the tax credit, interest rates and other factors created more interest in real estate there compared with other states," says Realtor.com President Errol Samuelson.

The most searched cities for 2010 were: Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Orlando, San Antonio, Miami, Phoenix, San Diego, Austin, Tampa. and odd man out- Chicago.

Most likely some kind of national headlines about Chicago brought all attention at that time...

Great to know our area has gotten some attention. Last month seemed to get a great deal of attention for us as well. My phone has been ringing constantly lately, so it looks like 2011 should be just as good, if not better than 2010 was. Hope you are staying busy in Sun City and thanks for the positive news on our city!

Thank you Brian, so much, March is traditionally busy in our area too, but it got really quiet now. Hopefully we will gain speed lately.

I suppose all we can do is wait and see how all of the changes will affect new deals. I feel blessed my phone rings considering all of the roadblocks that have been put in front of home buyers and lenders these days.

I wish you much luck for lots of new clients!
