By
Home Inspector with King of the House Home Inspection, Inc. Home Inspector Lic #207

The next Bellingham Technical College four week home inspector training program will get underway in just a few weeks -- May 2, 2011. Washington State laws require potential students to successfully complete not only 120 hours of fundamentals training but also to complete 40 hours of field training.

BTC field training includes small groups of students going out with an instructor who is a licensed home inspector. Each student, to pass this part of the course, must turn in reports that meet the state standards of practice.

Anyone interested in the specifics of this state-approved course  at BTC, starting May 2, should call 360-752-8796 for more information.

That looks like a pre-drywall inspection before they put up the studs and drywall.  Am I right?

Jay,

We cannot fool you.

Michelle,

A high percentage pass the course. It is an adult class and they pay quite a lot to take it so they take it seriously. The number who, longterm, make it in the field is much lower.
