RainCamp Atlantic City- Flashback To The Best RainCamp EVER!

We are back home now from our extended trip to RainCamp in Atlantic City
What a great time we had. This two day format of RainCamp is the best way to hold raincamps. It is raincamp when you get Bob Stewart running the show.
raincamp atlantic city

Kelly Pflugrath and Kerrie Greenhalgh were fabulous as always organizing the event and keeping things moving along. Kelly led the Member Guest Panel this time and I think she did a great job asking the questions and allowing each agent to actually respond and answer the questions.

Steven Graham from Active Rain is a positive and upbeat staff member. He really does know his stuff and I don't think I disagreed with him on much of anything, well, maybe once:) If you have not taken his classes that needs to be a must on your training schedule.

Bob Stewart was wearing a suit! Bob did a really good job at communicating with the members in the audience. What I really like about Bob is he keeps it real. He does not push any gimmicks or falsities. He is down to earth and that is what you need for the face of Active Rain.

Brad Andersohn, the widget guy presented us with Reputation Architecture as the morning featured keynote speaker. We have known Brad since before he worked for Zillow, before he worked for Active Rain, in fact, he was working for a title company when we first started reading his blog.

Dagny Eason, Gerry Michaels and J Philip Faranda all did a very nice job with answering questions on the member success panel which is always one of the highlights of RainCamps. They were unpretentious and the experiences they shared were motivating and reachable.

Meeting all of you was such a treat! I certainly enjoyed the interaction with each of you.

Most of all, the highlight of RainCamp was being able to pay it forward in the rain by sharing with all of you how to get listings from blogging. We get listings from blogging and sharing how we do that was such a treat. I loved looking out in the audience to see you taking notes, writing down what to do and then telling me later that you are going to make blogging a part of your marketing plan for your businesses. Thank you for being so attentive. I really loved helping each of you.

Here is a slideshow of the sites in Atlantic City I just made on the mac with iPhoto- so simple and intuitive as are all things Apple:) If you went to RainCamp AC and would like to get a nudge here and there via email to complete your list of to dos for blogging for listings - sign up for blogging for listings reminders here.

I'm so happy to hear that you enjoyed Rain Camp and Atlantic City so very much.  Our state's convention is in AC every December....it's a great town, isn't it?

Katerina,

Fabuous blog.

Will you be doing the same in Orlando? And also, I think there is a ReBar in August, I think, are you going to be there?

Jon- I will be at ReBar and will present there also just like I did last year. I believe I am going to be the keynote speaker in Orlando. Not official yet. We will also be at FAR in August. Thanks too! Jon- this one was 1000 times better than that last Orlando one. I don't think that mistake will ever be repeated. Katerina

Hi Katerina - I had gone to the Boston RainCamp last year.  As far as I am aware, it was the only one where both Bob and Brad did not attend.  Bob couldn't go for obvious reasons - he was on his honeymoon.  Brad was initially advertised as going to be there but I believe they later removed his name and AR senior management would not answer why he was not there.  Later on, I figured out that it was a couple of weeks before he moved to Zillow so I suspect there was a transition period.

I am hoping that RainCamp can be closer to my area so I can attend another one but this year they are quite far away.

I also see your comment about Atlantic City was 1000 times better than last year's Orlando.  I recall seeing a comment from you last year that you would never attend one again so I was very surprised to see that you were a keynote speaker.  It must have been a tremendous improvement.

Katerina,

Loved the slideshow. I haven't been using music on our's yet. We've discussed how some may like it and some not.  I have an eclectic taste in music... Do you have any stats on how the public views music or not on video/slideshows?

Best,

Steve

Marc- Neither Bob nor Brad were at the Orlando one either. Yes, the Orlando RainCamp was the worst face of AR ever but they have certainly redeemed their raincamp image with this 2 day event makeover and the quality of the content. I was never going to go again unless they changed the event structure and content and format. That they did. The one thing that we can certainly say about AR is that they have ears. They listen and if it makes sense from a business standpoint they will make adjustments. That is just one of the things that makes AR so great. Katerina

Katerina you were fabulous yourself!  I think you may have gotten the K's messed up....no worries it happens all the time :)  The breakout sessions and the Success Panel are dear to my heart and I had a great time doing so.  This wonderful community never ceases to amaze me!  I sure hope you continue on the tour as your information shared was priceless!  Kudos!

Kerrie- Did I do that again????Shame on me!! I am SOO bad with names and I work on it though:) Thank you for your compliment. It was such a blast sharing what works and seeing the excitement as so many people came up to me afterwards telling me that they learned a lot but more important that they are actually going to go home and apply what they learned. That is the goal, to inspire others to reach the top! I hope to be able to continue also, we will see:) Katerina
