SEA TRAIL PLANTATION LOOKING FOR AN INVESTOR

Sea Trail Plantation located in Sunset Beach, North Carolina is actively seeking investors of the three course facility and accompanying businesses. Sea Trail has been owned by four local families since its founding in 1976.  The owners have hired The Plansencia Group to assist in the search for an investor capable of taking over operation of the three golf courses as well as the rentals and convention center.

The search is for an investor, a golf management company and a residential builder. The key is to find investors for all three needs or bring in different components to finish the resorts 240 acres of undeveloped land and give the resort what it needs.

Gore, one of the owners, believes the shareholders would consider selling Sea Trail outright if the offer and investor were right for the property.

Sea Trail has had it's share of problems with the recession, with a decline in the property's real estate sales, rental sales and convention business. Golf revenue has also been affected. Gone are the days to pay $100 for a round of golf when neighboring courses are offering breakfast/lunch and beverages with cart and greens fees for under $50.

Sea Trail needs an investor that can see the potential available and realize what a great opportunity for growth the community has.
