Splash Your Walls With Springs Favorite Color
Everyone has a signature hue that they tend to go to time and again that brings a zest of life to your home and consistent comfort. There is a perfect color in my life these days as I branch from my go-to green & beige palette, it is a perfect gray-blue with a hint of brown. The color that brings me to a stormy day at the beach or an afternoon sipping coffee with a good book in bed. With the spring's showers in Florida making there way onto the radar, it is a fitting color. Add this color to a room in your home and pair it with some white accents and you will feel a sense of spring in your home. My favorite item to top off any room, especially this one, is a hand-full of springs brightest flowers.
I have recently been glued to HGTV, and whenever I hear designers discussing the perfect shade of this gray-blue, I'm jotting notes eagerly. I have tried 3 different shades and they have each come out different. The first was way too blue, making it feel like a baby boy's perfect pastel nursery. The second, was too gray which made the room feel well, gray. The third was a little too much brown but much closer! Maybe that is the trick, adding a pinch of brown or even plum to this tricky (but worth it) combo. I know my next trip to Home Depot's paint department will be successful.
