Lancaster City Pa is one of the most vibrant, and exciting places to live in Southern Pa. Filled with fine restaurants, lots of entertainment, and things to do, Lancaster City is a small city with big city excitement. A popular event in most cities large and small in Southern Pa is the local market. Many towns, and boroughs offer outdoor farm markets, however one step further are the many enclosed market area's where shoppers can get a coffee, shop for the weeks groceries, and enjoy a nice healthy lunch, and visit with friends and family.
When coming to Lancaster for one of the fine Fulton Theater performances, my wife and I always make it a point to come into town early to hit the Lancaster Central Market and stock up on some of the fine foods offered by the many vendors. Available are jams, jellies, meats, seafood, flowers, fruits and veggies, as well as dairy products including some of the finest goat cheeses in the area. TheLancaster Central Market is a great place to pick up some fresh baked bread, deli items such as olives, peppers etc. There is even a gourmet pet food and snack booth.
When coming to Lancaster City for a visit, be sure and stop in the 120 year old red brick Lancaster Central Market. Open Tuesday & Friday, 6:00am - 4:00pm & Saturday 6:00am - 2:00pm.
