A nice note about Dover from a client...

Dear Mary,

I wanted to send you a note about our wonderful recent relocation to Dover for which you are totally responsible for. Even though I grew up in this area, before moving to Dover I knew very little about it which is strange as it borders Needham and Wellesley where I had lived.

There are so many reasons I find Dover amazing. Lets start with the fact  that the Dover-Sherborn schools are consistently rated #2 in the state. And that there is only one traffic light in the entire town and that it  has maintained a wonderfully rural and peaceful atmosphere complete with horse farms and  an abundance of conserved open space with walking/riding trails. The residents I've met couldn't be nicer. Recently my neighbor told me that another of our neighbors with a plow had plowed his driveway for the past six years without asking for anything in return.  That simple act of kindness seems to define in my mind what it's like living here.

Dover is home to the Dover Recycling Center, where on Wednesdays and weekends residents meet and socialize with one another while recycling and discarding their refuse. And then there is Channing Pond which the town lights at night for public skating and where the annual fishing derby is held every spring. The roads in Dover are so clear following a snowfall that I can tell when I'm entering a neighboring town.

Last evening we attended a concert 10 minutes away at The Center of the Arts in Natick (TCAN), an acoustically amazing rehabbed fire station.  Before moving here I was concerned about the commute into Boston, but both Route 128 and the Mass Pike are very easy to get to from here. I often take the commuter train from Needham Junction (5 mins away) to South Station.

I don't want to ruin the secret of Dover but it's just too great a community not to share with others. My advice to anyone moving to or within the Boston area is that they should check out the wonderful town of Dover(www.doverma.org).  I know their experience with Mary Crane and the town we now call home will be as wonderful as ours has been. Thank you so much for introducing us to Dover and we look forward to seeing you around town!

Many thanks, EM Dover, MA  02030
