Realtors Care Day, April 8, 2011 in Charlotte NC was a great success. This year the Charlotte Chapter, International Association of Home Staging Professionals was a site sponsor and we spent the day with a very grateful homeowner and lots of Realtors fixing up their home. What is Realtors Care Day? Every year Realtors from Metro Charlotte join together to make exterior repairs for homeowner's in need. Realtors Care Day is an initiative from the Charlotte Regional Realtor Association and its charitable arm, the Housing Opportunity Foundation who has a commitment to sustaining affordable housing.
This year's Realtors Care Day, April 8, 2011 in Charlotte NC was able to assist over 23 families in a community wide initiative that assisted homeowners with critical exterior home repairs as well as providing adaptive and safety modifications for the elderly and disabled. Over 600 Realtors participated this year and the Charlotte Chapter, International Association of Home Staging Professionals was a proud sponsor, contributing money and assistance toward this great cause. We were assigned to a site in the Huntersville area were the homeowner, Miss Anderson received exterior painting and landscaping along with repairs to a wheelchair ramp and stairs to access their home. I know at the end of the day they were very grateful for all the work that was done.
This was my third year participating in Realtors Care Day and each year I am amazed at the generosity of my fellow Realtors and Stagers alike. There were over 50 sponsors this year donating money and materials that made it possible to provide over $300,000 in repairs at no cost to some deserving homeowners. This service day is no doubt vital to these homeowners and positively impacts the community and those who live here which is one of the many reasons I believe Charlotte, NC is such a great place to live.
