I Built It And They Are Coming >> Thank you Active Rain

About a month ago I wrote a blog called I need to build it so they will come. I basically was at a cross roads in terms of building a new site and was not sure which way to turn. I had looked at several options and was looking for direction.

I made the decision to purchase a new professional Point2Agent site. I then found Active Rain member Kathleen Allardyce which I contracted with to design the home page of my new site and write 10 new pages.

I also wrote several new pages on my own at the advice of my friend Karen George. Karen had written a post earlier in the year and strongly advised us to write as many good quality pages as possible to attract visitors and get the attention of the search engines.

My new site Search Idaho Homes was completed about 3 weeks ago. Last week I hired my friend Don Robinson of Lead Home Designers to begin optimizing my new site by submitting it to the top 500,000 search engines on a regular schedule.

The result has been that my new site has already generated 13 new leads in those 3 weeks and they are starting to come in almost daily. My site is also climbing the search engine ladders weekly. Without Active Rain and it's wonderful members I would still be fumbling around wondering what I should do.

George - It doesn't surprise me that you are climbing the ladders with google and any other search engine! I like the separate pages you did for the different area's of Idaho. Did you start with a blank page in point 2 and right the content right there ?

I started by writing several pages like the Foreclosure, Short sales, Interest Rate Chart, Home staging, Credit Repair, Homeowner taxes, Builders, Subdivisions, Schools and the Newsletter. Kathleen wrote all the cities pages and layed out my home page.

I am interested in finding out more about point2agent. Would anyone know if you are allowed to have your own exsiting website or do you have to use their templates?

The main thing is I really do not like how their sites look. Also has anyone else had success integrating their content with their website?

Javier - Contact point2agent directly and they will answer your question. All I can tell you is that my site is only a month old and I am getting an amazing amount of leads.

Can you tell me what it now costs you per month for this site? I've looked at it and it's a wonderful site but you know those of us who are starving in real estate right now may not be able to afford to pay for a site!

George, it's great to see that you have a found a site that both works for you and that fits your personality. I just got done visiting your site, and I love seeing that your personality is sprinkled throughout the site (i.e.: fishing and out door picks look great).

I also have been using the Point2 site, and although I am still working on it, it seems to be very stable and flexible.

So once again, thank you for all that you do over here at ActiveRain. You area very active and big part of this community, and we all appreciate everything that you do and all of your input and insight.
