Sold Single Family Homes Report for March 2011, Cohasset MA

Cohasset MA, once the summer playground to the likes of Clarence Barron and Hugh Bancroft.  (The both went on to from what became Dow Jones and Company, publisher of the Wall Street Journal.  To this day it is a town that attracts the financial types.  And rightly so, given the premium homes sell for in the often sought after seaside town.

There were 3 homes that closed within the month of March 2011 in the Cohasset Massachusetts real estate market. This a decrease of 4 units, as there were 7 Cohasset MA homes for sale that closed in March of 2010.

The Average list price for the homes that closed in Cohasset for March of 2010 was $841,700

The Average list price for the homes that closed in Cohasset for March of 2011 was $528,333

The Average sale price for the homes that closed in Cohasset for March of 2010 was $789,571

The Average sale price for the homes that closed in Cohasset for March of 2011 was $513,786

The Average Market time for the homes that closed in Cohasset in March of 2010 was 360 days.

The Average Market time for the homes that closed in Cohasset March of 2011 was 382 days.

There were 5 homes under agreement in Cohasset Massachusetts in the month of March. The average list price of the homes that went under agreement was $700,960. The average time on the market for these Cohasset MA homes was 283 days.

In 2010 there were 91 Single Family Real Estate transactions in Cohasset. In 2009 there were 77 Single Family Real Estate transactions.
