State Farm to Give $23 Million in Rebates Back to Floridians !!

The news tonight is good for Florida homeowners: State Farm insurance has agreed to rebate $23 million to Florida homeowners on their policies and to reduce rates totaling another $23 million!

In addition to this, State Farm will no longer look at what other forms of insurance policyholders have with them before deciding on rates and cancellations! This is part of the settlement between State Farm and the Florida State Insurance Regulators and the Office of The Attorney General.

Some 50,000 policy-owners living along the coastline will still be canceled, but these cancellations are no longer tied to whether or not the policyholder also has State Farm Auto Insurance!

This is  great news for Floridians!!!

Thank you very much for the update!

I am one of the unlucky ones being dropped by State Farm.

But after hearing over and over again that no one was writing any new Florida homeowners insurance business in Charlotte County, I found a new website called The Home Insurance Buyers Guide:

www.homeinsurancebuyers.org

This website lists 21 companies still writing new Florida home insurance business in Charlotte County.

I found 6 good companies that I didn't know were writing here and easily saved $2,000 compared to what I was paying with State Farm.

Anyway, this site is worth it.  Just wanted to pass it along.
