Have you ever dropped your cell phone in the toliet?
Don't answer that...somethings we should just keep to ourselves!
Do your photos on your camera sometimes seem a little glarey? Especially pictures that you take with a flash.
How about those disc that you have that may be scratched...have any...or did you throw them away?
Ever run out of D Batteries and all you find are C Batteries?
Well, here are some helpful hints that might end up just "making your day!"
If for some reason or another your cell phone has managed to get wet... simply remove the battery and place your cell phone in a bowl of uncooked rice.
If by chance your cell phone has sticky stuff on it, dunk it in a bowl of rubbing alcohol and then into a bowel of uncooked rice.
This will dry out your cell phone...but remember you MUST remove the battery, first.
Now, if you have any discs that are scratched...one solution for scratched discs is to spray the disc with Pledge and wipe it.
What do you have to loose...might as well try it. It has been known to work.
This will restore the area that is unreadable and fills in the grooves.
For those camera buffs who sometimes take flash photos that are over processed and have a glare, there is a simply solution.
Go to your kitchen cabinet and take out a coffee filter. Rip off a strip of the filter and either hold it or tape it over the flash on your camera and then take your photo. You'll be amazed at the difference.
The flash still goes off but it's filtered! No more glare...
Give it try and check it out. For those wondering what I took these photos with...it's my Kodak 5X that Jeff Turner made me buy...I love it!
Now for the batteries. If you ever find in an emergency that you are in need of D Batteries and only have C batteries, you can make the flashlight or whatever work by using C batteries (which I am out of at the moment) and a stack of quarters.
Just fill in the empty space between the two C batteries with quarters. It works! Remember though, that this is to be used just "in a pinch."
I believe it takes 4-5 quarters, however I only had 2 quarters at photo time.
