Fannie Mae is offering closing cost assistance of up to 3.5% on Homepath/foreclosure loans thru June 30, 2011

You read it right. Fannie Mae announced that for offers made on or after April 11, 2011, they are giving buyers up to 3.5% in closing cost assistance for primary residence purchases of Homepath/foreclosure properties.

What you need to know:

The loan MUST close by June 30, 2011 - no extensions on this date.

This is for the purchase of a Homepath/foreclosure property that will be the buyers' primary residence - no investment properties, no second homes allowed.

This closing cost assistance is only good for offers submitted on or after April 11, 2011.

Hurry - get your offers in today! Any offer that is made after May 15th, 2011 may not meet the June 30th closure deadline.
