As a Realtor, I'm asked pretty often what should be done to fix up a home.  I stumbled across Gita Bantwal's post about fixing up a bathroom without it sending you to the poor house.  These are some great tips.  Thank you Gita.

Sellers !  You can update the bathroom without spending a fortune.

Buyers do look at bathrooms when they buy a home. Here are some tips for improving the looks of your bathroom.

1. If there is old wallpaper, remove the wallpaper and paint the bathroom.

2.Get a new shower head

3.Get new stylish Faucet.

4.Caulk around the tub. Clean the grout.

5.Get new toilet seat.

6.Get new shower curtains and new set of towels.

7.Clean the bathroom thoroughly and then daily when the house is on the market. Do not leave wet towels hanging on the  rod.

8.Get a nice toilet paper holder . Always make sure there is toilet paper in the holder.

9.You can buy plug in type air fresheners for the bathroom.

10. If you are going to buy paint or faucets etc at Lowe's your Realtor can give you a discount coupon .

Good tips - some of my favorite ways to update a bathroom include new mirrors & light fixtures.  Towels & floor mats that match the paint in the bathroom can help, too.  This can often have a dramatic effect on the look and feel.

Joe - It is amazing the difference just a little money and some elbow grease can make.  Am just back in the rain also, have been off working on my web site, hopefully, a couple of tweaks here and there is all it should require now.
