All you need is nothing

There is nothing that has ever been done that hasn’t also been done with nothing.

birds

That is the nature of our Universe. We have an infinite number of tools to help up accomplish any task. We have an infinite number of nutritionals and pharmaceuticals to aid in any illness. We have an infinite number of doctors, coaches, trainers, counselors, and therapists to help us feel better.

At the same time, all we really need we already have access to. We have it inside of us, and don’t really need to seek it outside of us. Sometimes we know this, like when we have a neck ache from all the stress at work, and we know we really don’t need drugs, we simply need to relieve our stress. But sometimes we feel we need some help from the outside, like when we find a lump and the doctor tells us it is cancer.

If you study cancer outcomes, you will find that cancer has been cured with surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, nutritional and vitamin therapy, macrobiotic diets, chelation therapy, mango juice, acai juice, voodoo, charitable behavior modification, acupuncture, meditation, Reiki, prayer, marijuana, watching Marx Brothers movies, and more! It has also has been cured with what doctors call spontaneous remission. That basically means no therapy at all… nothing.

The one thing all of the above have in common is nothing. I’d like you to realize that is the only thing you ever truly need… nothing. I’m not saying that you should avoid any of the above if you have cancer. You can choose any path that feels best to you in the moment. We all benefit from help from the outside at times, when the idea of needing nothing is not quite available.

Sometimes nothing is not quite within reach, but as you gather help from outside of you, at some point set your sights on getting back to the knowledge that there is nothing you are missing, nothing you lack, nothing you need. You might want to quiet the messages around you that are telling you differently, like the headline news, or drug company TV commercials, or negative- thinking friends and family.

You will then be able to again focus on having instant access to all the Universe has to offer. You will feel complete, happy, healthy, and successful. Whatever it is that you want or need, know that you have it all inside you. Know that you are connected to infinite intelligence, and with that there is nothing ever that you lack, nothing you cannot have.

And now you know, nothing is all you ever need!

If you look at those with very little in life Sharon I can see how even without "much" they can be very, very happy, often more happy than those with so much, so I grasp this nothing you are talking about here. I do believe in abundance and that mentality and often without much we are abundantly rich in many other ways.

Gary-Thanks for your thoughts. God tells us to have life and have it more abundantly but the message here is all the advertisement that says we need this and this and this when we can be much happier with out all that stuff.

We definitely have and want too much, Sharon. All we really need is our family and love. The rest comes from that.

Hi Sharon,  we are continously bombarded with messages, infomercials, billboards, magazines etc... that tell us we need something, I think I understand the "nothing" that you are talking about.

Wise words Sharon.  Too many people are never happy no matter how much they have.

My latest fun Country song from another Cowboy dude... Nothing WITHOUT YOU, emphasizing the strength we find in our relationships!! Listen to Cowboys, they have good ROOTS in the dirt...much strength in nothing.

Toni-Couldn't agree more

Mary-Glad you understood the message. Great minds think alike

Debra-So true

Gary-Guess you have to be a cowboy dude to understand that song because I didn't get it.

We recently downsized to a home half the size of the previous one.  It was so incredibly freeing to me to find out that I could still have a nice home with about one-third of what I had had before!  Thanks for this post, it was wonderfully thought provoking.

Thanks, Sharon... I KNOW we have too much stuff and then it takes too much time to properly care for all that stuff and pretty soon stuff and the pursuit of stuff eats your whole life!
