Horse People Are Different

By
Real Estate Agent with EXP Realty, LLC

From time to time, the average residential real estate agent may find themselves working with a buyer that may be a "horse person."  This Jose Tare AQHA marebuyer may be a great friend or referral.

Just because a person is a horse person, that does not mean they plan to buy a horse property.   The horse person's equines may live at a boarding stable or at the trainers.

The following list, prepared by Tracie Rawson, is currently circulating amongst horse people.    I've opted to share it with non-horse people because I sincerely believe it will help you understand horse people a little better.

As a horse person, I love the list.  It was written by a true horse person.   For example, see the attached picture of JoJo (Jose Tare).  If I had this list last summer after I bought JoJo (Jose Tare), I could have texted my friends:  BAHHFDP.

Texting: Efficient Communication Tools:

In today's ever faster moving world, it is important

to be efficient in our communication, especially

when texting. In the interest of helping the horse

world keep pace, following are some

Ha Ha I am glad you gave us our decoder rings for horse people. Plus there's so many text abbreviations too. I think I need to create a cheat sheet and put it in my wallet when showing horse and ranch property.

As a non-horse person reading that list, it makes me realize how much people love horses, to put up with all that.  Thanks for the laugh!

Sondra, My daughter is a horse person and because of her I learned the horse lingo and that has become one of my markets.  One thing I have found about a horse person is that they will check the barn out before the house (lol).

Hi Sondra,

I hate when I get hay in my bra!  Great list.  Even though I don't own a horse and have no desire to own one, I can see why it would be hard not to like a horse person.  You can't be too fussy if you own and care for a horse.
