The last day to file 2010 federal and state tax forms without requesting an extension is Monday April 18th 2011 and the U.S.Postal Service will allow San Diego taxpayers to drop off stamped returns until midnight At one location.

The Midway Processing and Distribution facility at 2535 Midway Drive, San Diego, CA. will extend its service on Monday to accommodate last minute filers. all mail deposited at the drive-through collection boxes at the facility before midnight will receive an April 18th postmark. There will be no extended retail services at this location.

Ordinarily the tax deadline is April 15, but Emancipation Day a holiday observed in the District of Columbia falls on that day this year.
