This idea came from a friend in the business.

If you have a vacant home for sale, determine the date and time of the trick or treating in the area. Get some (good) candy and a stack of business cards and camp out at that house for the 2 hours or so.

When the parents bring the littlest of the goblins to your door, hand out a business card or other promo device to the "chaperones".

Also, you may want to buy a few pumpkins and decorate the porch/front door area.

This method will put your face in front of ONLY neighborhood folks, SMILE :) !

 As a mom, it's a little creepy, lol. Just don't dress as the Grim Reeper... you could however be a "Killer Real estate agent" I've utilized Halloween in the past and made a stack of filled envelopes with a neighbor welcome letter introducing myself and business. I have my kids hand them to everyone they get candy from. I also knew of an agent that had his small son dress up as a Realtor for Halloween wearing a suit and broker pin and pass out business cards to all the homes. It was a hit...All the adults thought it was adorable. maybe instead of using a vacant home, you could rent a small child for the night and go trick-or-treating, haha.

Hi Glenn,  I love this idea.  I am starting staging work on a vacant tomorrow.  I wonder if it is still on the market on Halloween I will be able to do something like that.  Maybe the agent will join me.  You have me thinking.  Thanks.
