This was a really interesting transaction. This condo had been on the market since May of 2009, with a different broker. My Team Leader, Luis Fernandez, went to Tripple Play in Atlantic City in December of last year for the annual event. During one of the huge bank parties he was introduced to this broker and started to build a relationship (of course Business Relationship!). We wound up Co - Listing the property on December 17Thof 2010. 2 Days later we received a hot lead that had to see the property that day because he was flying to Greece for the holidays. I jumped in my car and ran down to show the condo. We were in contract by Christmas Eve!! Talk about a hot lead! We got the short sale approved on March 30th and closed last Friday. This was the fastest short sale I have ever listed and sold in my career. It was quicker than most of my traditional transactions. I think our systems are finally in place and I think the banks are starting to figure this thing out. Great job to my team for all your hardwork!
P.S. We are also the only broker to have sold a unit in that building since the original construction. We also just listed an amazing 2 bedroom in the complex.
