Clay Hunt RIP

By
Industry Observer

The Associated Press reports that an ex-marine, decorated combat veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan, has taken his own life.  Clay Hunt was a man who risked his life in combat and was chosen to make a public service media promotion reminding veterans that they are not alone. On march 31, he locked himself in his apartment and shot himself.  He died alone.

Like all the administrations before it our current leadership is operating on the mistaken theory that it can buy a war without any regard for paying the closing costs.  We have always cut corners as soon as the last combat shot is fired.  Clay Hunt died needlessly.  Read the article: Veterans advocate kills self after war tours

It is a shame.  Nice of you to put that out there.  Hopefully, this stuff will end at some point!

Mike, I heard about this and it is so sad.  I feel bad for him but also for the families that are also affected.  My prayers are with them!

That's a tragic story that reminds us that the costs of war are not only money and lives lost in battle.

More opinions than you want to hear about.

Some of our fellow Americans are still paying the cost of WWII.
