New Loma Linda University Medical Center - Murrieta Opens Today at 8:00am!
Murrieta’s brand new Loma Linda University Medical Center opens its doors this morning to start serving the medical needs of nearby residents.
The new medical center is a 106 bed hospital that includes four state-of-the-art surgical suites, two C-section surgical suites, 19 emergency treatment rooms, two trauma treatment rooms, five labor and delivery rooms, 14 post-partum rooms, and 12 critical care rooms. The hospital offers advanced medical specialties, including interventional cardiovascular services, obstetrics, pediatrics, urology, and orthopedics.
The $211 million, 490,000-square-foot hospital is expected to serve the local region encompassing the cities of Murrieta and Temecula, and surrounding communities.
Future plans include expanding the medical center with new construction that will add an additional 114 beds to the 106-bed hospital, bringing the total facility size to 220 beds.
The campus was developed by Loma Linda University Medical Center, one of the nation’s leading teaching and research medical centers, and the Physicians Group of Murrieta, LLC, a consortium of doctors from Southwest Riverside County.
