Never enough timeAre you so busy that you fly through posts without clicking on the links, watching the video's and reading every word...I try not to do that.  And this week it gave me an opportunity to offer some tips & tricks and just help a fellow Rainer or two.

Have you seen the listings that are $349,900 or $249,900 or $199,900...when I see Rainers advertise their listings at that price I send a quick note and just remind them that internet shoppers often shop in $25,000 increments.  So make the price $350,000 or $250,000 or $200,000 and get the bottom edge of that range AND the top edge.  At $349,900 only the $325,000 to $350,000 will see you; but at $350,000 you will add the $350,000 to $375,000 range lookers too.  So I pointed this out a couple of times this week.

One of my favorite bloggers had a link that didn't work in his post and horror of horrors...it was FEATURED!  Luckily I sent him a quick note and he had it corrected within the hour.

One of another of my favorite bloggers somehow got a draft post in the Members Only queue for all to see the "not quite ready for prime time" post!  lol  He too was able to get the post corrected quickly.

Paying it Forward by just taking the time to really read the post and helping a fellow Rainer is what it was about this week.

Hi, Cindy:  I try to read as much as I can when I can, but being just 2 months into things here I'm pretty confident that there are times when I've wasted time reading blogs and posts that I shouldn't have- while missing ones that I should've read.  It's an inevitable fact of life, but pretty dang annoying nonetheless.  No time-wasted here, though.  I always want to read "how to"-type posts as I stumble across them every day, and they're my best resource.  One down-side of AR (at least as I see it right now) is that there's not a plain 'ol everyday FAQ section.  It's great that folks post "how-to's" (and as I'v said, I do read them), but every time I visit the "how-to" section I leave telling myself that there has to be a better way.

Cindy you are awesome.  And thanks for those tips.....I didn't think about that but I sure will now.  I do try my best to watch videos and click the links.  Sometimes people put way to many links and that's a bit more challenging.

CIndy, making the listing prices match the 25k marks is a great idea. I've always done this. It might not always work, but it makes sense to me.

Good pay it forward..reading the posts, watching the videos are important. Sometimes I see comments made and you can tell they did not read the post or watch the video :) I agree with your pricing..not following the law of the nines when you are close to the "search increments" is what I follow.

Cindy thank you for taking time to share with everyone, I just read a post on a site today that mentioned the $25,000 increment pricing and I know I have been guilty of allowing sellers to price at the 999999 prices, so this is a good reminder :)

Cindy, I do think that is great that you contact the individual by private communication offering your observations.  I would much rather be contacted privately instead of by comment on the post.  We all make mistakes and your motivation is the best-to help the individual bring forward the best they have to offer!  Well done, and I like the tip on the price point as well!
