Ever seen a Googlemobile? I have! I use Google Streetview a lot, but I've always wondered why I never saw a Google camera roaming the streets. Just how stealthy could they be? Today I found out that they are not really stealthy at all: I noted the Arizona license plate. I wonder if he Streetviewed everything from Arizona all the way over here? Maybe he's done with Arizona? Maybe he's like those out-of-area appraisers? At the house on the right that you can just barely see, the family was on their front porch having a Sunday afternoon party. One of the guys obviously knew what this vehicle was when he first went down this cul-de-sac, and when it game back, that guy stood out in the middle of the road and stopped the car and gave the driver a piece of his mind. Of course, there's nothing anyone can do about people taking pictures from a public street, but there does seem to be something creepy about what Google is doing. ♪♫♫♫♪ If you're looking for a great real estate agent in San Diego, well, I'm available 24/7, so feel free to contact me by phone or email. Jim,
I am a bit surprised. I never thought there is anything creepy when someone is taking photos on the street. I am doing it a lot...
Jim ~ I saw a bit of a google mobile in a street view once, but I had no idea what those cameras looked like. It does seem a bit unnerving.
What's so creepy about taking photos or video? Visitors and tourists click away all the time.Real estate professionals likewise make this the norm in their day-to-day routines. Law enforcement uses this technology at busy intersession. Is it because one can can view a vehicle but nota satellite that generates such emotion? Get over it; Big Brother IS watching.
Jim,
It's the G mobile hard at work creating the streetviews of the world.
Have a great week,
Steve
Jim - I will look out for mobile cameras. Thank you for sharing detailed quality information.
Hi Jim - I have not seen a Google mobile in person. I thougth that they have the Google logo on them, at least when they went through Toronto.
We had one here last week in a large master plan community. It had a car wrap on it too. I didn't notice the license plate though. They are kind of hard to miss.
Hey, everyone!
Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I really do appreciate it, and I’ll be by your blogs soon to do some reading and commenting.
Hey, Jon – Someone taking photos on the street usually isn’t taking a picture of you on your front porch, or looking through your windows, and then posting everything on the Internet for everyone to see!
Hey, Mike – They don’t usually post them on the Internet for the world to see. And the fact that Big Brother IS watching is what’s so disconcerting. I hope I die before it really gets bad.
I saw one a couple years ago that looked like an ice cream truck with windows all around and a freaky looking dome on top. Wish I'd been able to snap a photo.
Hey Jim. How do you know it is a google mobile? Did he have a google sticker on the side of the car? Pretty cool actually. I guess I just thought they used satellite for photos or something - or maybe one of those cool robots that flies around in the middle of the night when everyone is sleeping - oh - except then they wouldn't be daylight pictures.
