Janna Rankin Scharf, CLHMS, SFR, GRI - Northern Idaho Homes for Sale
This is a picture I snapped of power lines that run behind a beautiful 20 acre parcel of land I have listed for sale near Farragut State Park.
You might imagine that this would be a huge turn-off to potential buyers. A big negative. An eyesore marring the beauty of the natural scenery. And for some potential buyers, you would be correct.
However, for others, you are looking at a huge benefit. A reason to choose this property over others that don't have the adjacent power lines.
You see, obviously these power lines are on a utility easement. The buyer of my 20 acre parcel will be able to use that easement and travel via 4-wheeler or snowmobile to state forest lands.
The easement provides year around recreational access all the way to
the Canadian border - without ever having to cross private property!
Just another example of how subjective features can be. What one person places a high value on, may be of little or no value to another. And vica versa. It's all in the eye of the beholder.
