A real estate closing is like a scrapbook page, it needs glue

One of my hobbies is creating scrapbooks for my children and grandchildren.  As I was working on some scrapbooks yesterday it occurred to me that a real estate closing is very similar to a scrapbook page.  The page starts with an idea, then you lay out your pictures, embellishments and so on until you have a page that is appealing to you.  Once you lay out the page you begin to glue the picture and embellishments to the page to create a permanent memorial to a time in your life or that of your loved ones.

A real estate closing is very much the same.  It starts with an idea or a vision, if you will.  The seller's vision is to sell the property the buyer's vision is to buy the property.  Many other people are involved in the transaction and they represent the embellishments.  Thos embellishments are not permanent until glue has been applied to bring the page together.

The Realtors, the Lender, appraiser, home inspector, etc. are all necessary components of your "page".   But the GLUE to the entire transaction is your closing agent.  The closing agent works hand in hand with all parties to create the most appealing page possible, the end result being a successful closing that has gone smoothly and has been conducted in a professional and courteous manner.

Select your title agent carefully.  Title agents, like glue, come in all types.  Cheaper is not always better when selecting the glue you need to create a beautiful memory for all parties involved.

Insure that your closings will not fall apart as a result of the glue.  Use the services of a title agent you can trust to hold it all together and ENJOY the finished product.

Hi Charlene ~ I like the analogy with scrapbooking!  I agree that you need some good glue to keep it all together!
