- Minimum FICO score w/3.5% down payment FHA financing - 600
- Minimum FICO score for 100% VA financing - 600
My Wells Fargo loan officer has had 2 new referrals in the last 2 weeks where the original lenders were not able to offer financing due to FICO scores.
In one case the lender had the First Time Home Buyer with limited assets pay off $3k-$4k in debts that dated back 4-5 years ago to see if the buyer's credit can be improved, but by Wells' standards the buyer did not need to pay off anything!
