12 Comments on Pok Pok Restaurant..answer to this weeks Where is it Wednesday...somewhere in the Clinton-Division Neighborhood Portland Oregon
Hi, Cindy. I have no idea what this place is but I love to stop by your Wednesday photo anyway. Let me guess: a new lunch place in a residential area? By personal invitation only?
Hi Cindy,
I had to do a lot of research to come up with this one. I really wish I knew something anything about your area so I could better participate in "Where Is It Wednesday". It is a very clever contest. My guess is Pok Pok.
Cindy, This is obviously the Fixer Upper that you wrote about in one of your posts. I see that they have now enclosed the patio with some nice plastic and the lighting really makes the place look a lot nicer.
I can not be certain, but, are those the dumpster divers that you also featured in a video. That's my guess and I am sticking with it. Let me know when I win and I look forward to receiving my prize. Best wishes always.
that's a great game to get locals to interact...hope it works! Richard is quite the character, heh?
Hi Elizabeth, thanks for stopping by and taking a stab at this one. It's been around for a few years..one of those places you might call "that hole in the wall" but has great food as well as a huge following
Hi John, For someone that knows nothing about my area..all I can say is if you give up real estate, you'd make a great detective...so Ding ding ding..we have a winner!!! Pok Pok it is! Most excellent detective work..I'm very impressed :)
Hi Richard, yes, it sure does look like that fixer I was talking about with the enclosed tarp areas. Inside those you'll find some tables with personal heaters to keep you toasty while chowing down on some fantastic food. Those folks might look like the ones in my dumpster diving video..but no bottled vinager here unless it the flavored drinkable kind (haven't tasted this..but on the drink menu).. This place looks great in the summer and is usually always packed..even in the winter months! Thanks for playing along..and even though not a winner today, you're always a winner in my book :)
Hi Cindy "in Indy", thanks, I have no idea who reads these, but I have been getting more and more clicks. I know if I start getting more interaction from local consumers on my Facebook page as most don't respond on this forum I might just start giving away some prizes. In the meantime I just enjoy doing them!
Hi Cindy,
Thank you for the chance to participate! My research also turned up that Andy Ricker also opened another restaurant Ping. Have you tried that one?
Hi John, he sure does and I've been there as well and just as good. He also just opened up a small counter..take out place called Pok Pok Noi. Man..you did some great research!
Cindy, what a nice way to fit local areas into your blog. Very creative. Those are some mouth watering pictures. Looking forward to more of these posts.
Hi Craig, thanks! The food not only looks good..but tastes delish!!
