Carla- Thanks for the tips. Sorry to hear about your pond issue. What a mess!
Acreage plus pond, creek, lakw equals lots of questions needed. I like to ask the neighbors and the folks in the county soil and water dept.
Yes, not an easy fix - but I really do love my home, surrounded by so many birds, ducks, turkey, deer, squirrels and more. My dogs love to run the land which is fun to watch - I just am a little frustrated over this water issue. My husband is contacting the Army Corp of Engineers to advise us on what we can do.
It IS important to ask the seller about certain items and follow due diligence - or you may get some surprises like we did.
Carla, was there any of the property in a flood plain? This looks like a major problem. So sorry for all your problems.
Oh Carla!!!! Yuck, that is not fun. it looks like you had to be in a boat to get to your home. Thank you for joining our 31 Days of May Challenge.
WOW!!! Carla!!!
As someone who comes from an area where there is a very high water table I can relate. I haven't had anything quite like that but my basement has severely flooded a couple of times and there are wetlands wars going on in our city as I type this. But what you have is a really messy situation. Can anyone help with drainage?
It almost looks like the property should have been listed was waterfront! Is there anything that can be done to alleviate to problem?
