It was a Dark Cold Rainy night....

This Story happened in a little town in Minnesota...

It was a very dark and rainy night.  The wind was blowing and it was frigid out.  An out of state traveler was hitchhiking, but for several hours not one car went by as he waited in the pounding thunderstorm.

As time passed car moving slowly appeared in the dark. Approaching slowly and quietly it seamed like a ghost car.  Not a light was visible.   Unsure of what the story was with this car and wanting a ride so badly to get out of the weather, he jumped in.  It was only after he closed the door that he realized that NO one was in the car.  This car was driving itself.

There was no one behind the wheel and no engine could be heard above the pounding rain.  Again teh car started to move forward ever so slowly.  The traveler was so frightened that he could even move.  He was to scared to even think about jumping out of the car.

As the car inched slowly forward, the traveler could tell that they were approaching a curve in the road.  Still to scared to jump, he began to pray for his life for he was sure that he and the ghost car were going to plunge down the hill into the lake and he would drown.

But, just before the curve, a shadowy figure appeared and sticking a hand inside turned the steering wheel and guided the car around the curve.  From then on every curve they came to the figure would appear and turn the wheel and then disappear, and the hitchhiker was again alone.

Finally, the guy gathered up all his strength and was able to jump from the car and ran all the way into the next town.   He went into the local bar and ordered several drinks relaying his story.  At first the patrons of the bar thought he was crazy, but soon realized that there was something the his story about the Ghost Car.

About a 1/2 hour later 2 guys walk into the same bar and one said...

"Hey, Ole look.  Dar's dat idiot sho jumped into our car while we was pushing it in the rain!"

Now, you had to know there was a catch if I was posting this!

Glad you all enjoyed .  I love this one.    So easy to tell around a fire when a few brewskies have been consumed
