Good Repairs make for a feel good almost new Car!

By
Real Estate Agent with The Berkshire Group

Having just spent a lot of money, I have decided that good repairs make for a feel good almost new car. We Realtors, often forget how important our vehicle is to our livelihood.  How many hours do we spend in our cars, whether by ourselves or taking clients around to view homes throughout our neighborhoods?

For me, I live in Lakewood which is just 10 minutes from downtown Denver.  However, due to my real estate career, so much of my business is from referrals and past clients, most of whom live in the foothills west of Denver. I spend many hours driving from Denver (5280 - mile high elevation) to the mountains (10,000 ft.) to meet with sellers or to show property to buyers.  Such travel is hard on vehicles.

I drive a Subaru Outback (used) and, I have to admit, am not very kind to my car. Today, truly brought that home to me. I have known for a time that I needed new tires, but, due to the current real estate market, have tried to postpone the inevitable. Well, yesterday, I had a flat tire and ended up having to buy 4 new tires....that is how badly I had ignored the problem. Discount Tires in Lakewood took care of me.

With new tires, the issue of brakes came to the forefront. The squeeling in front when I pushed on the brake pedal was a clear indication that I could no longer put off the brakes. I went to Brakes Plus in Lakewood and after a full diagnostic test and numerous additional repairs and maintenance, my car is like NEW!

Driving home from the repair shop was amazing....my car felt like a brand new vehicle in the way it handled. My car is my right hand assistant in the real estate business and I will take care of her so we can have a profitable year!
