If An Apple A Day Keeps the Doctor Away, What Will a Blog a Day Do?

By
Real Estate Agent with Fonville Morisey, a Long and Foster Company

Having only written a whopping ONE (now two) I have no idea what a blog a day will do for me!  Heck, it took me twenty minutes just to figure out how to put Mr. Apple in the space below--at this rate I'll be lucky if I get a blog a month in!  Now I just have to figure out how to do the cool text-beside-the-picture thing...but that will be for another day when I have more patience!  For now, please bear with the newbie who has no tech skills.  :)

But I've read many success stories on what blogging has done for people and I'm firmly in the camp of the believers that if I just stick with it and post good, relevant content I will be rewarded!  Hey, I'm pretty proud of Mr. Apple up there!

I know awhile back there was a blog-a-day challenge which sounds very daunting to me but I'd love to hear your thoughts and successes!  I think I'm going to start carrying around a little "blog notebook" where I can jot down ideas for a new blog post and also try to remember to carry my camera with me everywhere I go.  But I have my two free months of Rainmaker status and I don't want to let that go to waste....so...here I am jumping in with both feet and let's hope I can get a little wet here in the Rain!

Hi Jerry--Thanks for stopping by!  I will definitely check out Craig Daniels!  There's so much to do and learn on this site I could easily spend a whole day at it!

Juli--I don't know why I couldn't figure that out for myself, LOL, but I have proudly employed it in my third blog!  Yay me!

Ruth--So now I've got coffee, chocolate AND AR addictions!  :)  Take all three together and I'm a happy gal!

Hi Everybody and Happy Easter to all,

Susan, I'm am new too, just registered some weeks ago. It is really hard in this world of social media and technology to follow up on things. Why? because it is toooooo much. I think you are doign the right thing, just posting something. I need to do that too instead of thinking too much of it... I enjoyed reading your post and Mr. Apple is cute!

Today after the celebration with my family, I opened the computer and the computer and decided AR was the right place to be. I'm amazed for the richness of content and people in this site and thankful for having a site where we can share experiences and feelings.

Go Susan! You are good inspiration for me.

Susan-Welcome! My fiance is from Cary, NC and his parents still live there in the Kensington subdivision. I love it up there! My current broker, Tom Martin, is also from the Carolinas and managed something like 20 different offices. Ever heard of him? Blogging for me is not always the easiest thing to do as I often feel like my ideas aren't suffice enough to make good content. But Barbara's advice to you above is some I might heed for myself as well as some of the names others have given you to follow. This is an incredible source of guidance for me so use it to your advantage which is seems you are doing very well! Two featured posts in your short time here! That's impressive : )

Hi Liliana--Wecome to you, too!  I agree it's easy to be overwhelmed by all the social media...facebook, twitter, blogging, your own website...I'm trying to take baby steps because I know if I jump into everything I won't be able to keep it all up!  Start posting some of your thoughts--i'd love to subscribe to your blog!

Sandi--Welcome to you, too!  Trying to find the time to fit some of the classes into my schedule but will definitely check them out!

Margie--Do your fiance's parents want to move?  LOL!  Cary really is a beautiful place!  Blogging is tough for me, too--although I don't have any problem with the actual writing part I get all worried about if I'm writing something WRONG or something BORING...but I think I may sign up for this May challenge of a blog a day--you should join with me and then we can inspire each other!  :)

I might have to do that! I keep seeing the success other Realtors have solely based off of blogs that they put on this website and in turn it gets them major SEO in Google. Seems naive to ignore it doesn't it!?

And if his parents ever decide to sell I'll tell them to look you up! Referral fee to make some cash flow off the inlaws? ha!

Margie--You've got a deal with the in-laws!  :)  I'm starting to make a list of 31 things to blog about so I won't get writer's block next week!  It'll be really tough, especially with never doing this before, but I think we can manage!  Girl power!
