Midwest Tornado Closes Lambert International Airport
Have you ever heard of a tornado closing an airport? This evening in St. Louis, Missouri a big tornado has closed Lambert International Airport. Homes have been leveled, power lines are down over a major highway closing south bound and north bound 270 at McKelvey in Maryland Heights, MO. Many people are without power.
In my area, we received some golf ball sized hail coupled with high winds and torrential downpours of rain. The tornadoes were all around. Yes, we went to the basement when we heard the warning sirens.
Pray there are no serious injuries. Stuff can be replaced, but people cannot.
Missouri weather can be dangerous. We have flash flood warnings in place now and the threat of more severe weather.
Always pay attention to what is going on in the sky.
