Things to do in Mason County - Hoodsport Winery
A little wine tasting, a little gift store browsing, not a bad way to spend to enjoy sunny afternoon on the Hood Canal. From the winery, you have a view of the Hood Canal and the Olympic Mountains,
The Hoodsport Winery originated in 1978 when there were only sixteen wineries in Washington. Washington now has over six-hundred wineries.
Hoodsport Winery produces varietals such as Chardonnay, Merlot,
Sauvignon Blanc, Island Belle and Lemberger-Cabernet. They also produce Raspberry, Rhubarb and Loganberry wines. These wines taste like the fruit it self. The Raspberry has won top awards at many wine competitions. Their 1994 Cabernet Sauvignon won a gold medal at VinExpo in France.
They also sell gift packs, wine truffles, jams and select coffee that are hand roasted by a local coffee roaster.
