Super Saturday on the Crystal Coast

 

I started my morning by heading to the market to buy some herbs, tomato & pepper plants, and a couple of bright red geraniums.  By the time I returned, the rotary Lookout Race had begun, and I had just enough time to grab the camera and take a few shots of Mom as she ran by (she came in 1st place in her division).  Once the race was over, I planted all of my plants, hung my geraniums on the back deck, and took a quick break to enjoy a nice cup of coffee. 

 

 

Roger decided to mow the lawn, and I absolutely LOVE the smell of fresh cut grass (I wish I could just figure out a way to bottle it up).  While he mowed, I did some weed wacking and edging and now....Our lawn is ready for outdoor time!  While working in the yard, we had a turtle join us and he was gracious enough to allow us to photograph him.  He actually posed a few times.  When we had worked ourselves to exhaustion, Rog threw some steaks & corn on the grill and we all sat down to a wonderful family dinner.

 

As for right now....Rog is taking a nap, Tanner is curled up on the sofa watching cartoons, and I am kicked back with my laptop,  catching up on some relaxing time in the rain (and it is moving Super Fast today...Thanks AR Gods).

I LOVE Spring on the Crystal Coast of North Carolina....Life Is Good!

Hi Amy, Sounds like you had a very productive day. It feels really good when we work together with our husbnands and get the yard looking so nice. Steaks sound really good. Glad things ar egoing well for you. Congrats to your Mom!

JoAnn - Thanks, It is always nice to have someone to work with....And I so enjoy the finished product :-)  Steaks were yummy....Isn't my mom amazing?  We are so proud of her.
