Connecticut Fishing Season Has Started !

Fishing licenses can be obtained at town halls/parks and rec.

See below for towns and locations for your best fishing spots:

Town: Best Fishing Spots: Where to Park:
Darien Holly Pond: Located at the border of Stamford and Darien at Cove State Park Cove State Park if a Stamford resident or wade over from Weed Beach in Darien
Easton/Fairfield Mill River runs through Easton and Fairfield and has two distinct Trout Management Areas which are open year-round. To get to the upper Mill River Wild Trout Management Area, take Exit 47 off the Merritt Parkway. Head north along South Park Avenue.
Greenwich Mianus River Park, Byram River (see map)
Take Merriebrook Lane down to the red barn, where you can find parking in that lot, or closer to the bridge over the river. Across the bridge the road leads to private property, so no parking is allowed.
Redding/Ridgefield Norwalk River off Topstone Road near the Redding and Ridgefield town lines  
Shelton Farmville River (see map)
Near highway overpass on Baird Saw Mill Road, Conservation area path at Shinnacock Trail
Stamford Mianus River, Rippowam River (see map)
For Mianus: Take Merriebrook Lane down to the red barn, where you can find parking in that lot, or closer to the bridge over the river. For Rippowam: Go near bridge on Cold Spring Road or just downstream of the Route 104 bridge
Trumbull Pequonnock River  
Weston/Westport Saugatuck River off Ford Road, Compo Beach, Sherwood Mill Pond Take the Merritt Parkway to Exit 42, for Lyons Plains Road. Take a right at the exit. Take a left onto Ford Road at the first traffic light and continue down Ford Road until you see the well-worn pulloff areas right next to the stream.
Wilton Norwalk River off Wolfpit Road (see map)
Parking is readily available in Wilton Center, at Merwin Meadows Park on Lovers Lane off Ridgefield Road, at the Wilton YMCA, in Cannondale and points north.
