Just curious as to all the members on AR, where you would like to retire.  If you are living in the SE do you want go further south to say the islands or Coasta Rica?  How about the Midwest do you see more people heading to AZ or the Carolinas? OR if you are out West do you see youself coming to the East Coast  How about the NE do you want go to FL or CA?  Or would you like to retire in the mountains somewhere.  What are everyone's thoughts??  As for me I have traveled all around the world and lived in many states including Alaska and Hawaii and I love the Carolinas still, even though I grew up in Ohio! Go Bucks!

I hear you, Scot!  I've lived all over the World, and I make Myrtle Beach my home, and yes, I do plan to retire here, as do most of my clients.

Retire in Myrtle Beach!!!

Thanks for the blog!

I've thought about this a lot lately.  I'd like to purchase a winery and semi-retire in Eastern Washington ... but travel to warm places during the winter.

Scot:

It's the Ozarks for me.  Short winters, but still have 4 seasons, and the cost of living is low compared to the coasts.

Scot-I moved from Pittsburgh to Las Vegas 5 years ago because of the weather.  I love the dry heat and I love the summers here (hot!). The winters are a bit chilly for me so I am looking for a warmer place in the winter.  My husband says he doesn't think I'll ever be warm enough.  So, I am happy to retire here in the summer and I'll keep looking for a warmer winter place. LOL!

I just don't see why people would retire in AZ no offense to those agents...I guess if you had asthma or something along those lines, but they is no place finer than carolina...

I've done my fair share of traveling and I must say there is no better place on earth for me that Charleston, SC.  Sun, beaches, history, metropolitan city with a small town feel.  It's Perfect!

I'm originally from Louisiana!  Geaux Tigers!
