Summer is just around the corner and that means, for most kids, schools out. What to do it you are working outside or inside of your home? I try to find lots of summer activities nearby for my son. I try to allow him to go to camps that will teach him something new. Whether it's a week long day camp at a horse ranch, learning about horses, art camp, or even a class that might improve some of his skills in preparation for the next school semester (those aren't his favorites), finding things for kids to do is essential to the working mom. Although my son is just a bit old for this camp, I've found a summer day camp that's offered at the Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area for children 7-12 years old. on the weeks of June 13-17 and June 27-July 1. These camps will be full of outdoor activities, including bird watching, hiking, mountain biking, and exploring history and local wildlife in our area.d watching, hiking, mountain biking and learning about the wide variety of wildlife at the park. Located on Business 121 in Lewisville at the south end of Lewisville Lake, the Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area is 2,000 acres of prairies, forests, and wetlands managed as a wildlife preserve by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the University of North Texas, the City of Lewisville, Lewisville ISD, and Texas A & M University.
