Mary... welcome...

Fran.....  is it about growing the community?  Not trying to sound rude, just posing a question. Meaning, would I want to bring 5 new loan officers from my area into this community? An honest answer, not really. Again, I am just bringing this up because I like to get others opinions. I think it's great that you are extending yourself. Even more so if it was your own team of realtors. And I thought I would mention this because some people that I have talked to never thought about this also. Just food for thought....

Well Jeff, this is the way I'm going to answer that because this is the way I think.... :)

I'm not afraid or intimidated by competition, in fact I'm not afraid of mostly anything.

I'm the best at what I do, my colleagues may do something differently in their approach and they could be the best at what they do.

I appreciate your question and honestly see where you are coming from because Active Rain can give us the edge on business.  But I guess my mindset is why not share the joy?

Thought provoking.

Thanks for stopping by. :)

Fran....  I always try to be thought provoking.  ;o)   And trust me, I love to share the joy also. I hope my comment didn't sound harsh, I was just curious in how others think. Because essentially, they are your competition. I think sometimes it's hard to balance both. thanks for your honesty.

Fran - Don't change a thing! When I offered a blogging class to the fellow agents in my office, my broker said, "You are Tom's competition, and he is giving you a tool". I think you can show something to anyone, but unless they perceive value in it, they won't do anything with it. Most of the agents didn't do anything. The ones that have started a blog on Active Rain haven't really done anything with it. I'm not afraid of competition either. It only inspires me to work harder.
