Are you a Reno homeowner who is struggling to keep up with your monthly mortgage payments?  Have you fallen behind and are at risk of falling into foreclosure?  Do you want to try to work out a possible solution with your mortgage lender to avoid foreclosure?  Consider attending the Reno Foreclosure Assistance Event this Saturday, April 30, 2011 from 9am to 5pm.  The Reno Sparks Convention Center (4590 S Virginia St) will have HUD-approved housing counselors on hand to discuss possible options to foreclosure as well as assistance programs and help in spotting possible foreclosure scams.

The following servicers will be available to speak with local Reno homeowners:

If you area  Reno homeowner wishing to meet with one of the above servicers about your mortgage, please bring the following information with you when you attend the Reno Foreclosure Assistance Event:

  • Most recent tax return (2010 if you filed this year, 2009 if you haven't filed yet) along with all W-2s and schedules filed
  • Last two months of bank statements
  • Last two paycheck stubs or any documentation of income you have received
  • Most recent Profit & Loss statement if self-employed
  • Copy of benefits statements that show amounts, frequency and duration of benefits
  • Monthly mortgage statement (with account number and loan service provider info on it)
  • Any information on other mortgages taken out on your home (if applicable)
  • Credit card balances and minimum payments due per month
  • Other loan balances (ie, car payments, etc)
  • Monthly expense estimates
  • Letter explaining current hardship
  • Most recent utility bill with home address on it
  • Copy of all closing documents as well as any correspondence you have had with your mortgage company
