Expecting mothers in and around the Baton Rouge area will be flocking to Woman’s Hospital
this Saturday, April 30, 2011
(from 8:30 am – 1:00 pm) for the “Baby Grand” extravaganza. If you are expecting a little one, this is one event you will not want to miss!
In 2006, I got the chance to experience “Woman’s Hospital” and I actually enjoyed my brief stay during and after the birth of my son. I felt comfortable, safe and knew I was in good hands at Woman’s which gave me the opportunity to focus on becoming a new mommy. If I ever decide to put another bun in the oven, I will definitely be making a second trip to “The Birthplace of Baton Rouge”.
This year’s “Baby Grand” will be offering a number of classes for expecting mothers. For those of you who are first time mommies, this will help educate you on what to expect during and after your pregnancy. Here are some of the classes that will be offered at “Woman’s Baby Grand” this Saturday:
Let’s Talk Teeth
Breastfeeding
Just for Dads
Babies and Pets
Car Seat Safety
“Baby Grand” will be giving expecting mothers the opportunity to have their ‘baby’ questions answered by healthcare professionals and parenting experts. Mothers will also be able to interview a number of pediatricians, in hopes of finding the best one to guide them through their pregnancy. Every thirty minutes, “Baby Grand” will be offering a tour of the Woman’s facility. The Woman’s Hospital tours will be conducted by the RN’s from “Labor and Delivery” + “Mother and Baby” departments. In addition to educational classes and fabulous tours, “Baby Grand” will offer prenatal yoga demonstrations and a maternity fashion show. If this isn’t enough to get you in the car and on your way to Woman’s Hospital this Saturday, then I’m pretty sure the prize drawings will! There will be loads of prizes so be sure to visit all of the “Baby Grand” exhibitors and be present for the drawing at 1:00 pm.
