Here in the beautiful Ozarks region we have been under a dark cloud cover for days. Flooding and tornado activity, straight line winds, we've had enough. Rain fall totals over 15 inches in the last 4 or 5 days. There has been loss of life and property. The weatherman says expect at least one more day of rain before a break.

Today my heart is with the suffering and the grieving, and my prayer is for healing and restoration.

In times like these it serves us well to remember that storms don't last and together we can triumph over lifes toughest challenges. Here's to blue skies ahead.

Charles, watching the news, they are still talking about all the storms/tornadoes ravishing the South!    Praying no more lives are taken!   Stay safe, my friend.

Hi Charles,

I was worried about you when I saw those weatherchannel maps. Did you get any damage?

Doug et al,  M. the girls and I are safe and sound. It will be great to get a break from the rain! The flooding is pretty scary. We have had evacuations in the area. Most of you know the drill, rain soaked earth letting loose of trees that fall on homes and cars and into roadways. Low lying areas with rain swollen creeks and leaking homes and the like. Misery for many.

Charles...praying for all those affected by these storms.  We're under tornado watches right now and Middle Tennessee is getting hit pretty hard.  We don't expect really bad weather until late this afternoon.

Those storms have moved through Texas on the way to Arkansas.  I'm happy to tell you we have sunshine today.  I'm hoping the storms are out of the way for a while as well!

Hi Charles - Thank you for your heartfelt post. My thoughts are with you and the others who are suffering with all this awful weather and its aftermath. What you've written is a good reminder to all of us to have gratitude for all that we have.

Our sentiments exactly Charles. Hopefully this too will pass and the Ozarks will be restored.

Charles, It saddens me greatly when I see catastrophe strike.  The weather and other uncontrollable "whacks" that strike harder than we anticipate can rob families and communities.  Hopefully, the Spring Storms will lighten up.

Charles I so agree with your sentiment and I thought of  friends nearby in Ark and Missouri and all my AR friends in these ravaged areas.  Mother Nature can be cruel and the floods and home damage is something I am very sympathetic too.  Hurricane Rita was only 5 years ago but still fresh on the minds of us here in Louisiana.  I pray that volunteers and agencies will step up to the plate to help those who have experienced loss and are homeless or displaced from the wind and rain.  Take care and stay dry and covered!

Friends, We are having much a needed  reprieve. This is our second morning with sunshine. Rain in the forecast for Saturday and Sunday though. With just a 48 hour break rivers, creeks and lakes should recede. Thankful!
