The Quinte area is a great place to enjoy all the water that surrounds us. However, in the winter months it can get a tad nippy. I might have a solution for those of you who like to play in the water during those long cold winter months.
St. Maarten is a wonderful place to enjoy a few months out of every year. I happen to know of a place for sale there. For the modest sum of 3.5 million U.S., this 5 bedroom, 51/2 bathroom home could be yours.
The island is divided into two jurisdictions, one of them French and one of them Dutch. The island is the smallest landmass in the world to be shared by two different countries. The French side is called St. Martin, and the Dutch side is called Sint Maarten. Whatever you wish to call it, it's one great place to be, especially from November until April.
The Caribbean's largest lagoon, Simpson's Bay is located on the island, and conveniently enough, this house is located on the shores of this lagoon. This offers great protection from the Atlantic Ocean.
This house features an infinity pool on the deck which overlooks the lagoon. You can swim around in this pool and keep an eye on your boats which will be moored at the bottom of your yard. Would you like to buy the boat too? Just ask, that can easily be arranged. The deck features gorgeous sunrises and sunsets, manufactured by the Good Lord just for your benefit (or so it feels when you are sitting there).
The interior of this well cared for home features stunning bathrooms, bedrooms, a movie room, a modern kitchen, laundry room, and a few that I probably can't remember off the top of my head. There's about 5000 square feet, so it's tough to remember every nook and cranny.
Don't worry about things to do at your Caribbean winter home. Maho beach resort and Casino is just a five minute drive down the road. There's also a plethora of local beaches just a short walk away. The Heineken stands on the beach will certainly make the time slip by very pleasantly. Just remember to bring your sunscreen along, it can get fairly warm there and people tend to lose track of time. You'll be wanting your lobster on a plate, not staring back at you from a mirror.
St. Maarten is known as the Paris of the Caribbean, and that reputation is well deserved. There are so many fine-dining restaurants on this island that it would take you weeks to check them all out. Don't come to St. Maarten and expect to haggle with street vendors over the price of some chintzy souvenir, do, however, come and expect to taste the best crepes outside of France.
The island of Anguilla is just a short boat ride away, as are the islands of St. Barts and the uninhabited Tintamarre. You would never run out of things to do and places to explore on this upscale island.
This solidly built St. Maarten home comes with all the first world conveniences that us spoiled North Americans really desire. I could go on and on about all the benefits of owning a home on the beautiful island of St. Maarten, but why don't you pick up the phone and give me a call instead. You can reach me at 1 888 792 5499, and I can convince you of many reasons why you would want to build your family memories here.
